Our food

Local and seasonal ingredients lie at the heart of the White Horse dining experience. Our Chef de Cuisine, Grant Jones, draws inspiration from his time spent training at Mayfair's Le Gavroche and his menus feature classical French flavours and techniques, complimented by a modern interpretation of British seasonal fare. Only the best produce from Sussex farms and fisheries are used and we are proud of the relationships we have with local game keepers, family run suppliers and cheese makers. No two days are the same on the menu at the White Horse, and every dish can be complimented by something from our carefully curated wine list.

Our rooms

Our six beautifully appointed bedrooms are named after local wildflowers and provide a cosy and comfortable retreat after a day on the Downs. Each individually decorated room has been created to ensure a restful night's sleep and with views of the South Downs at your doorstep, you'll wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated for the day ahead.

The White Horse Café

The White Horse Café is now be open 7 days a week, all thanks to the amazing support from our local community and the warm welcome we've received. Join us from 8AM to 4PM daily for delicious Barista coffee and a selection of treats including fresh brownies, cookies and pastries, and other savoury options and refreshments. Whether you're popping by for a takeout or joining us for a little morning break, don't forget to say hello to Jamar, our friendly barista.
